Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is a form of child sexual abuse. It is important that professionals working with children understand the methods used by exploiters to groom and exploit children and that they recognise the signs and behaviours displayed by a child who is being exploited. The course will cover this and will help learners understand the psychological damage caused to the survivor, and how to assist therapeutically within the home setting.

The main learning objectives of the course are as follows:

  1. To understand what Child Sexual Exploitation is, and how exploiters entrap children
  2. To understand the signs and symptoms of Child Sexual Exploitation
  3. To understand your responsibility with suspicion and disclosure
  4. To know how to work therapeutically with a survivor within the home setting
  5. To know how to assist the child in building their future and achieving their full potential

This course provides professionals who work with children and young people the means to advance their knowledge of therapeutic care.

Upon booking this course, we will discuss the learning objectives and outcomes you wish to achieve based on the young people in your care.

Should you wish to discuss your needs before making a booking, please call 0800 774 7874.
