Over the last few decades eating disorders have become more widespread, and are now more common than ever before. This course will cover the psychology behind eating disorders in children and young people and the latest statistics on eating disorders. It will look at why trauma (any significant event which the child finds traumatic) increases risk, and how to access this risk and involve other professionals, or refer/signpost. It will enable learners to manage this behaviour safely and positively.
