This module sets out to examine the various assessments and treatment approaches utilised when working with children and young people. A variety of approaches exist, and it is important to recognise how one approach does not fit all. Due to the idiosyncratic nature of mental health problems in young people, it is essential to aim to find an approach to treating a child or young person’s mental health problem which is helpful for them personally.
The module also outlines the importance of outcome monitoring and children and young people providing feedback on the care they receive.
